Working as a team of two, you'll be responsible for preparing ribbons, ballots, and removeable wall tag numbering ahead of time for the people's choice awards. You'll also be responsible for tallying ballots on the day of the opening reception so the president knows who to present awards to. The opening reception duties can be delegated.
Through the years, we have refined the process. Here are some key details:
- We must order ribbons at least a month prior to the opening. We use P&B Awards in Silverton.
- Friday before reception - pick up ribbons. After wall tags are up, put a number on each tag so people can write down the numbers of their three favorites. Print off ballots and make a tally sheet for voting during opening reception.
- Opening reception - pass out ballots with golf pencils (inWACC closet in hallway by kitchen) and two complimentary drink tickets for wine to adults. Use baskets at the entrance for completed ballots and golf pencils. Tally ballots and let president know the People's Choice winners.
